Sentry Crash Report:

Description Toralf Förster 2006-12-02 15:06:17 UTC
Version: 2.5.5 (using KDE 3.5.5, Gentoo)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.4.6 (Gentoo 3.4.6-r1, ssp-3.4.5-1.0, pie-8.7.9)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.18-gentoo-r3

Starting at stopping kate immediatly results in a :

tfoerste@n22 ~ $ kate
QObject::disconnect: Unexpected null parameter
QFile::open: No file name specified

I'd assume that these messages shouldn't apprear at the command line.
Comment 1 Philip Rodrigues 2006-12-02 22:59:29 UTC
No loss of functionality -> minor
Comment 2 Thomas Friedrichsmeier 2007-12-11 01:17:38 UTC
The line about QObject::disconnect is fixed in KDE 3.5.8.

Confirming the second line for KDE 3.5.8 and KDE 4 (in KDE 4 the error message is:

QFSFileEngine::open: No file name specified

)
Comment 3 Toralf Förster 2009-01-02 11:34:34 UTC
Still remains in 3.5.10 :

tfoerste@n22 ~ $ kate
QFile::open: No file name specified
Comment 4 Christoph Cullmann 2009-07-07 19:45:01 UTC
This is fixed in /trunk and will be ok in KDE 4.3.
