Version:           0.12.2 (using KDE 3.5.2, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.2-0ubuntu18.1 dapper)

Kopete starts up very slowly.
Everytime you start Kopete, it starts more slower.
I think this is because Kopete loads every chat history on startup but I don't know

If yes, I think it would be much better if Kopete loads the history when you click on "view history" or in background when Kopete is started so that you can use it quicker.

Please try to disable the Statistics Plugin. If this does not help, i.e. kopete still starts very slow, please reopen this bug.
