I guess that by profiles you mean printer instances, as you can create with the printer manager. Instances can be based on physical features of a particular printer. Copying them for one printer is possible (and easy to do using printer manager's "Copy" button in the "Instances" tab). Copying them between printers isn't supported. If you want to do it at your own risk, look into the ~/.lpoptions file. This is where instances are stored. The line of an instance looks like Dest original_printer/instance1 some_options=specific_to this_instance You can copy the line and change the name of the original_printer as you wish, but it is at your risk.
