Where are you using the emoticons such that they need to be sorted a certain way? Are there other clients that offer this sort of flexibility? The fisrt case: I use an iconset from ICQ5 and want to sort it in the same way as they are sorted in the original ICQ messenger by editing emoticons.xml and/or renaming icons. The second case: I use my own theme (based on QIP "kolobok" emoticons theme) and want to have more often used smiles to be higher in list than less often used. Another IM I use is SIM, and it places smiles in list in the same order as they are in emoticons.xml. You can do the same or you can order smiles by the filename, it does not matter. The main idea is that author of the emoticons theme (not an ordinary user of this theme) should have the way to order emoticons by himself, no matter how. this is actually a duplicate of bug #118624 which has a patch file attached that fixes your problem, unfortunately you'd have to recompile kdelibs from source. Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained. Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat. |
