I'm not using KMail as my main e-mail application, but it is configured with my email accounts as I sometimes (rarely) use it.

Whenever I start Kopete, it also automatically loads KMail, and I then have to close it by manually (not to mention that it slows down the loading of Kopete).

I have seen this bug on Gentoo with kopete 0.12.3 on kde 3.5.5 as well. Oddly it only seems to happen for me if I configure an IMAP server in kmail.

This bug is apparently a duplicate of Bug 100280 and by proxy - a duplicate of Bug  97764, although I fail to see how 100280 is a duplicate of 97764.
