Description Manuel Koch 2006-11-15 21:26:23 UTC
Version:           1.1 (using KDE 3.5.5, Debian Package 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-3 (4.0))
Compiler:          Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.18.1-mko20061102

Actually I want to store certain kde configuration file ( like contact's addressbook and calendar or wallet ) at a dedicated user directory thats on a mounted file-system ( in this case ext3 ).
Do be able to do this I just create symbolic-links from the standard kde config-directories ( like /home/manuel/.kde/share/apps/kwallet to this dedicated user-directory ).
For addressbook or calendar resource-files this works fine.

Kwallet does not seem to support linked wallet-files !?
Opening kwallet main-window does not show this linked wallet-file.

Here's a "ls ~/.kde/share/apps/kwallet" of my related files :
lrwxrwxrwx  1 manuel manuel   45 2006-11-15 21:17 profiles.kwl -> /mnt/homes/manuel/Documents/text/profiles.kwl

And "ls" of the link-destination :
-rw-r--r-- 1 manuel manuel 276 2006-11-15 21:17 /mnt/homes/manuel/Documents/text/profiles.kwl

A bit late, but I just implemented this feature. Please note that removing the wallet inside kwalletmanager will only remove the symlink
