Sentry Crash Report:

Description Arne Schmitz 2006-11-14 11:26:18 UTC
Version: 1.2.3 (using KDE 3.5.5, Debian Package 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-1 (testing/unstable))
Compiler: Target: x86_64-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.17-2-amd64

What I did:

Tell Kontact to use IMAP to store contacts and calendar. Choose English as the folder language. Use the KDE German locale for this.

What I expected:

English folder names.

What I got instead:

German folder names, and the IMAP storage is broken. Setting folder language to German helps. So a bit TOO much localization happening here.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kontact (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
