Description Janet 2006-11-07 19:52:08 UTC
Version: 1.3.1 (using KDE 3.5.4, Debian Package 4:3.5.4-3 (testing/unstable))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.17.9-slh-smp-1

By now it is possible to configure the mouse wheel either for scrolling the current picture or for switching pictures. My problem: When the picture is shown in its actual size I want to scroll within the picture using the wheel - but when the picture is shown fit to screen I want to browse through the pictures with the mouse wheel. When I set the wheel to browse the pictures I always accidently leave the current picture in full size mode when I just want to scroll it. When I set the wheel to scroll within the picture I miss the wheel when browsing through the picture list. I really would be glad if it would be possible to assign the mouse wheel to both actions depending on the view mode - optionally of course.

It is possible this way.
Configure Gwenview -> Image View -> Mouse wheel behavior. Set it to Browse.
Now when you want to zoom image, you scroll wheel with Ctrl. When you want to scroll image, use Alt or Shift modifier with wheel (for horizontal scroll, just drag the image, because horizontal wheel also switches the image). The wheel without modifiers will just switch the image.
