Description Petr Menšík 2006-11-01 15:58:19 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

I configured my client to use TLS and CRAM-MD5 auth. I closed kmail. After i run it again, i realized my Dovecot server does not support CRAM-MD5. Kmail told be, but anyway asked for password. Well, might happen. But i pressed Cancel button, it told me Imap login failed, CRAM-MD5 not supported. Well, procedure repeats. In other words, it keep asking for password, when i pressed storno. Also it should not ask for password, it it is not bad password error (dont know if error codes differs for such situation). It should definitely stop asking when i want cancel operation. Maybe its issue with kwallet, as i used it to store my password.

After i turned off storage of password, after some tries i finally have been freed of error messages, and finally i was able to visit configuration dialog. I think there might be limit for unsucessful logins, and let you manually try to reconnect if you failed 10 times for example.
