Version:           0.12.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from:    Debian testing/unstable Packages

When I set the status message it overwrites the last status message (if any) and the song info. Then for some time all is correct: the song info is appended to the status message. At some point it overwrites my status message. I noticed that it will be surley overwritten if I change the my status or it will change due to being idle.

Also the overwriting the last status and song info should be changed. In my opinion the song info should be appended immidietly after changing the status message.

  This works for me using Kopete svn 833475 on OpenSUSE 11. 
  The status message never gets overridden and since there have been many changes since the bug was files I suggest closing it.

Please update to newer version as we don't have man power to support Kopete in KDE 3
