Sentry Crash Report:

Description David Gerber 2006-10-18 18:49:11 UTC
Version: 1.0.1 (using KDE 3.5.5, Kubuntu (edgy) 4:3.5.5-0ubuntu2)
Compiler: Target: x86_64-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.19-rc1

Please add a way to set +i on oneself automatically. ATM I have to type /mode foo +i after joining which is annoying. Most other IRC clients have an option for that. Even doing it by default would be useful as not being +i seems to make spambots happy.

Note that there's a "Commands" box in the "Edit Network" dialog in which you can add "/mode +i %nick" to do do it automatically.
Comment 2 Bram Schoenmakers 2006-10-18 19:44:59 UTC
OK, closing it then.
Comment 3 Bram Schoenmakers 2006-10-18 19:45:19 UTC

Reopening. Bram, please don't close bugs as WORKSFORME when you're neither the reporter nor a developer of the application in question - the request for a simpler "Invisible" options as seen in some competing IRC clients is still valid, although a wishlist item.

just an update since i was looking through the related code: we already have support for rfc2812-style +i setting, (since revision 209889, Thu Feb 27 00:51:00 2003 UTC in fact) but this is not supported by some nets. Works on hybrid-7.2.2+oftc1.6.3 but not hyperion-1.0.2b or ircd-ratbox-2.2.6.
