Description Corbin 2006-10-18 02:51:54 UTC
Version: 0.8.5 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: GCC 3.4.5 gcc (GCC) 3.4.5 (Gentoo 3.4.5-r1, ssp-3.4.5-1.0, pie-8.7.9)
OS: Linux

KGet keeps leaking memory (according to the 'VmSize' & 'VmRss' in KPM) while downloading a file, and if I pause the download, the memory consumption keeps climbing. It will keep climbing until the download finishes. Stopping all transfers and closing kget then starting a new one through kget cause kget to leak memory every time.

I cannot reproduce this. I'm tempted to say this is an installation issue on your system. Do you use any specific settings in kget or just the defaults? I'm wondering if anybody else can reproduce this.

I'm pretty much using the defaults (except I use individual download dialogs). When I first noticed this I mentioned it on #kde and no one else could reproduce this either.
