Did you find this bug while copying on local or remote directories? let's see 2006, october.... just kidding. feel free to close this one. I was scared that you were still waiting for :-) Anyway, I cannot reproduce on recent version of KDE. No, this is not a wanted behavior but this is outside the scope of Dolphin: the progress dialog is inside kdelibs. Whether a remaining time is shown or not depends on the used protocol I guess... Which protocol did you use?
