A different set of sidebar tabs are visible with Japanese selected to when English is the selected language of KDE.  This only occurs after choosing to show or hide some sidebar tabs compared to the default choices through the little button at the top of the sidebar.  For example if Japanese is the selected language, hiding Magnatune, which is not translated yet, will hide it when Japanese or English is the selected language.  However, when hiding the playlist tab (プレイリスト) in Japanese, it will not be hidden when the language is changed to English as it is now known by a different string.
