can you put the image somewhere to allow people to do some test? you can also send me the image via email.... redfox26@videotron.ca it should work with every grey-image: take a color-jpg-image, convert it with gimp (i use 2.3.7) to grey-mode, and save it... ..oh, i tried to generate a test-image for you, and noticed, that the image should have some min-size (pixel/bytes? don't know..). the bug seems not to appear with 400x300, but with 1024x768 and bigger the test-image is attached. it is viewable with every other program like gimp/gwenview.
