Description Dan 2006-10-02 11:19:16 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs
OS: Linux

I have an IMAP account that has a few subfolders created under the Inbox folder. I have created several filters in kmail to move incoming messages from inbox to the appropriate subfolder.

Whenever new mail arrives, I get a notification 'X messages in Inbox', event though these messages are then moved to other subfolders. The notifications should read instead 'X messages in inbox/subfolder1, Y messages in inbox/subfolder2' and so on.
It looks to me that notifications should be issued AFTER the filters do their thing, not before.
As a side-note, for pop3 accounts notifications are correct (they report the final destination for the message).

Alive on kmail 1.11.0 (KDE 4.2.0)

Even when the filter marks the mail as read before moving it to a folder, kmail notifies a new mail on inbox.

I think this should be marked as a duplicate of bug 118213. It's really about the order of notifications/filters.
