Version:           0.8.2 (using KDE 3.5.1 Level "a" , SUSE 10.1)
Compiler:          Target: i586-suse-linux

There should be a checkbox "automatisch weiterschalten"(progress automatically) for "Extras"->"Diaschau" disabling "Verzögerung zwischen den Bildern(ms)" when being unchecked.
-> Sometimes the person presenting his photos does not want the dias to be switched automatically (e.g. in order to wait until some other people return).

Now it is possible to disable automatic dia switching:
Kuickshow: Customize->Diashow->Delay between Dias->Wait Until Key Is Pressed

Oops. It does not work with the Kipi-Plugin at Konqueror.
