Description Ronny Standtke 2006-09-28 20:55:54 UTC
Version: 1.9.4 (using KDE 3.5.4, Debian Package 4:3.5.4-3 (testing/unstable))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.17-2-686

I migrated a mail account from POP to IMAP with the following steps:
- I started KMail and it automatically downloaded mails from the POP account.
- I removed the POP incoming account.
- I added the IMAP incoming account.
- I uploaded the local messages to the IMAP folder.
- I removed the local folder.

Then I got an error message that this folder belongs to a POP account and that from now on all messages are downloaded into the standard incoming folder. Right after that KMail downloaded again all messages from the IMAP folder to the local incoming folder.
After restarting KMail I could upload all messages to the IMAP folder without KMail getting in my way.

I did the same in KDE 4.2 and it worked for me
