Version:           1.9.4 (using KDE 3.5.4, Debian Package 4:3.5.4-3 (testing/unstable))
Compiler:          Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.12.4

When you click on an archive attachment in a mail, a dialog pops up and asks you to open it with "Archiver". If you click yes, ark opens displaying the error dialog:

"An error occurred while trying to open the archive"

No problem with KDE 4.3
