Version:           0.12.0 (using KDE 3.5.3, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.3-0ubuntu0.1 dapper)
Compiler:          Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.15-26-386

Verified the bug for kopete 0.12.0,0.12 beta2(official build from kopete site) ,0.11.3. As a gtalk user,cannot post to any jabber chat rooms (but can join the chat only not able to post) Gets the following error msg(not gtalk chat rooms)

Your message could not be delivered: "This is a message", Reason: "If set, the 'from' attribute must be set to the user's full JID."

Can join and post using jabber accounts other than gtalk. No issue with psi. So guessed it would a kopete issue.

please try with a new version of kopete 
(0.12.2)

I can compile the new version only after two days. So if anyone else could verify this using 0.12.2 please let me know.

Compiled kopete 0.12.2 without jingle support. The bug has been confirmed in this version too. Same error message appears.

If you post as this gtalk user with another client, does it work correctly? If it does not work correctly with another client, then this is not a Kopete bug.
