Description Kelly Price 2006-09-14 21:19:08 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

Is it possible to get a command to remove spaces at the end of the current line?
Comment 1 Thomas Friedrichsmeier 2007-12-13 00:42:52 UTC
Are you asking for a dedicated shortcut for this (that would be a new feature, indeed), or is the option Settings->Configure Editor->Editing->Remove trailing spaces the thing you are looking for?

@Kelly: Please, would you like to answer to Thomas? Many thanks.

This would have been a dedicated command similar to that of Notepad++ on Windows.

That said, this can be closed anyway -- I've switched to XFCE.
Comment 5 Dominik Haumann 2018-09-20 19:55:43 UTC
By dedicated command, do you mean a shortcut or a command line command in the command line (F7)?
Comment 6 Kelly Price 2018-09-21 10:10:19 UTC
Menu command.
Comment 7 Andrew Crouthamel 2018-09-21 19:04:38 UTC
I'll mark this as wishlist, since it is possible via Settings, but doesn't have a command/menu item to execute it manually.

If a Dev wants to mark RESOLVED > LATER or INTENTIONAL, I'll leave that to them. :)

Thank you for the update!

We have now the rtrim script command.
That will do this, even for some selection of lines.
