I would like to have a per user log file option


Additionally a 'shred log file after X days/log out' option would be cool.

Aren't the log files already one per user?

Yes. But there is no option to turn it on/off per user.

Actually good wish-request. Right now kopete logging everything, even one-time chats or spam messages you get.

IMHO it'll be nice to turn off globally logging for new chats, and turn it on only for needed contacts.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
