Description Lance Haverkamp 2006-08-28 18:19:16 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.3)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

Hi,

I'm renewing my cert. When I get the "click here to install your cert."
and follow the click, konqueror asks me what to do with it (open with or save)!

Screen shot here:
http://img231.imageshack.us/my.php?image=installuf3.jpg

If I click "save," the certificate is not saved, but rather the php file running on the server is saved to my system.

Why doesn't konqueror install the certificate rather than asking me what to do with it & what do I do now???

Thanks,

Lance

Looks to be a mimetype related issue. I don't recall ever seeing that
mimetype before so I'm sure it's not supported.
Comment 2 Lance Haverkamp 2006-08-29 16:57:37 UTC
That seems odd as that same page on CAcert is known to work just fine with Firefox, IE, Opera etc.

What is Konqueror expecting to recieve there?

What CA's is Konqueror known to work properly with?
Comment 3 George Staikos 2006-08-29 23:37:44 UTC
We don't support key generation and we work with all CA's root files. The
mimetype the server is sending in this case is just not recognized.

> We don't support key generation and we work with all CA's root files.

I'm not sure I follow what you're saying here, because Konqueror did generate a csr & transmit it to CACert. CAcert replied with the key...Konqueror just seems unwilling to place it in the KDE crypto file.

What am I missing here?
Comment 5 George Staikos 2006-08-30 02:25:55 UTC
The code for that in konqueror is incomplete, so it's not doing the CSR
internally.
