Description Damien Cirotteau 2006-08-28 15:55:20 UTC
Version: 1.9.4 (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

Related to bug 16345 which is not marked "SOLVED" and "FIXED" it would be nice to have a shortcut to show/hide the preview pane alla sylpheed. Idealy the shortcut sould be a toogle to be able to show/hide the pane a the same shortcut.

Oops I meant " ... which is *now* marked "SOLVED" ..."

I've never developed anything in KDE, but if someone can point me in the right direction, I would be happy to try my hand in writing something to implement this idea.

I'm a recent convert from Thunderbird (and Outlook before that), and this feature is almost a "must-have" for me, for the way I use my email client.

Well, this should be simple Qt stuff. Simply resize or hide() the preview pane widget.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.
Comment 6 Luigi Toscano 2012-08-19 00:32:02 UTC
Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
Comment 7 francisco_t 2012-09-16 17:50:56 UTC
I use kmail2 in kde 4.9.1 and it's still perfectly valid.
Please change it to kmail2.

This seems ExtraMile worthy.
