Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

I haven't found a way to tell KMail to not check a specific folder on startup.

I have way too much *archives* folder I want to be able to access but that are unlikely to receive any new mail. I have also a "Public Folder" I'm not allowed to even access and can't unsubscribe. For the later, that means that KMail pops a dialog up that it can't SELECT the folder. More than annoying.

Did you try disabling "Include this folder in mail checks" in the folder properties dialog?
Comment 2 Hubert Figuiere 2006-08-26 23:34:41 UTC
it is "cached IMAP"

I don't have that option

"act on new/unread" is unchecked.

I see that option in KDE 4.3 for dIMAP.
