Description Corbin 2006-08-24 20:46:18 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc 3.4.5
OS: Linux

The kio_svn protocols (svn, svn+file, svn+http, svn+https, svn+ssh) don't appear to have any documentation if viewed in KInfoCenter on the Protocols listing.

The first half of the documentation could be generic for all SVN, then the second half says any specific things about that particular one, and maybe giving an example of its usage.

It could looks something like:

"Subversion, or SVN for short, is a popular open source version control system. The SVN kioslaves provide read-only access to SVN servers via various interfaces."

svn+file specific:
"The svn+file kioslave can be used to view a SVN repository on your local system by providing the path to the repository.

Example: svn+file:/var/svn/repos"

I've never used any other svn kioslave so I'm not sure how they work.

I'm afraid the SVN KIOSlave was never ported to Frameworks 5, and it's not likely that it ever will be, given the continuously decreasing popularity of SVN. Therefore, I have to close this bug report.
