Description Aarni Honka 2006-08-18 06:25:55 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

When ever I transfer something from our Windows file server to my laptop, running Gentoo, I always get good speeds inside our LAN. But if I try to upload something from my laptop to our Windows file server I only get speed from 30kbs - 300kbs, which is too slow to transfer anything big. As some of our image files are way over 1GB in size. I have confirmed that if I manually mount the Windows share into a folder inside my home folder and then inside Konqueror drag and drop a file in there the speed is normal. So I'm thinking the problem is the smb-ioslave or something like that. I'm running samba 3.0.23. More than willing to provide more information if only shown where to dig.

KDE 3 is no longer supported. Feel free to reopen this ticket if the issue is still present in the current stable version of KDE 4. Thanks for the report.
