this is the same pentax image file just loaded and saved again with Gimp that
only adds a "JFIF" header
Have found that since Konqueror use kfile-plugin system to access files, the real problem is the one reported in bug 110038. Please follow that bug because this one is just a conseguense of that. |
Version: 3.5.4 (using KDE KDE 3.5.4) Installed from: Slackware Packages OS: Linux in kde 3.5.3 and 3.5.4 on both Slackware 10.2 and Slamd64 10.2 clicking on an image file icon with the right mouse and selecting "properties" the tag with all exif information ("informazioni aggiuntive" in italian, may be "extra info" in english) is not shown like if the image has no exif info at all, but only for pictures coming from Pentax ist-DL camera. Seems that konqueror does not detect the exif tags in the file. If I load the same image with Gimp and then save it again with another filename, Gimp adds a "JFIF" header and then, for the new file, all the exif information appears without problem. Pentax reports to follow the exif standard version 2.21, is Konqueror compatible with this version? I also have tried to reinstall libexif (v. 0.6.13) but had no chance to solve the problem
