Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.4) Installed from: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux For many wishes that are filled here against KDM there is allready a patch provided by SuSE. I have localy applied that patch against KDM 3.5.4 on Gentoo Linux ("vanilla KDE") without problems and it didn't made problems so far. I would guess the patch needs only minor tweeks to be ready for upstream. The things that are possible with the patch are for example (but not limited too): * support for transparent background of the user list in KDM * improved visual alignment of the user in the list (e.g. if you have only a few user) * correct highlighting of the currently active user in the list The URL to the patch I refer to is: http://developer.kde.org/~binner/distributor-patches/SUSE/10.1/kdebase3-3.5.1-69/kdm-make_it_cool.diff Please let me know if you think I can provide additional help or input.
