I am having font issues with anti-aliasing also after the upgrade to 3.5.4 in FC5. This has occurred on a number of machines - I am using Sans 10 for the majority of the fonts apart from Foxed width and window Title in the control centre - there has not been any issue with this in the past. Now even trying the various settings under anti-alias settings using sub-pixel hinting does not give acceptable rendering of the fonts on the screen. I also experienced this problem, only after I rebooted after doing apt-get dist-upgrade withe Jonathan Riddel's KDE 3.5.4 apt sources. The solution for me was as above, change "General" to something else, and then back again. Every application was affected by this, Konversation, Firefox, Thunderbird and my KDE desktop text etc. I wonder what change switching "General" to something else and back also fixes? Could this be confirmed? Cheers Jon Hello, This bug is still present when I upgraded my Kubuntu 6.06 to KDE 3.55 using the official packages provided here: deb http://kubuntu.org/packages/kde-355 dapper main I created a new user account and profile, and had to do the workaround to get Adept to display anti-aliased fonts again. Cheers Jon Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Kcontrol has been replaced by System Settings in Plasma. Please give the latest version of that a try, and open a new bug in "systemsettings" if you continue to have an issue. Thank you! |
