Description Seru Sie 2006-08-04 09:18:45 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

When using detached/floating kasbar, after I end the session and login again, kubuntu destop does not start proper. It pause for a long time when loading "system service" and if it eventually finish loading, system tray applications and virtual desktops fail to start. If I logout/login again, things are ok but kasbar revert to the attached panel position. The kasbar_panelextensionrc file always revert to default attached setting are the second login. So I never get kasbar to float at some position by default.

I am using a laptop and would like as much working space as possible, so rather than having it taking extra space, I prefer it to be an applet in a panel, or get it float above it.

I am using a Dell 620 laptop with kubuntu distro. Did not test it on other computers.

Kasbar is no more developed and it will not be ported on KDE4. Kasbar bugs are being closed as "UNMANTAINED".

For specific kasbar feature which doesn't exists in the new KDE4 please open a new wish for KDE4. :-)

Many thanks.
