With the recent standardisation and adoption of SysML by the OMG (http://www.omg.org/), there would now seem to be a need to provide this functionality into the open-source community and not to be restricted to commercial software such as Artisan Studio 6.1 (http://www.artisansw.com/press/2006/sysml.asp).
SysML is a extension of UML 2.0 to support Systems Engineering modelling. The primary item of interest would seem to be the additions to support Requirements Management but the other additions are also important.
Version 1.0 of the SysML specification is available from the OMG website (http://www.omg.org/cgi-bin/doc?ptc/06-05-04).
