the task was to print a copy of a map from THE GIMP. The print command was accepted and the printer began printing. Then I found that the page was covered with nonsense text, not graphics.This printing continued page after page, so I tried to stop it by using KJobViewer. The Jobs/Remove option would not allow me to delete the highlighted job, saying that I had no authority. This amazed me because I am the only User on my personal computer.

2 possibilities:

 * Did you print as root, while you started kjobviewer as normal user? Or vice  
   versa?

 * Did you use an external print server? Or is CUPS installed on your system
   locally, including the definition of the printqueue you were using?

Closing due to lack of feedback, KDEPrint being unmaintained, and known previous issues with KDEPrint defaulting to using user anonymous instead of actual user ID.  If still an issue for users suggest they try entering their own user id in the authentication dialog.
