FYI: KRFB is currently unmaintained and therefore the future of the program is unclear.
Comment 2 Andreas Kling 2006-08-06 13:09:34 UTC
It would be very helpful if you could provide a backtrace from a debug-enabled KDE 3.5.4 as well as the debug output from KRFB (usually found in ~/.xsession-errors)

xsession-errors file after Krfb crash

This is the .xsession-errors file after Krfb crashed.
Comment 4 Gustavo Mercier 2006-08-10 16:26:35 UTC
Hi!

I experience the same bug when I access my OpenSuse 10.1 box running KDE 3.5.1 from either a Windows XP SP2 box running vncviewer 4.1 or Ubuntu 6.x box running xvncviewer. They both connect. The mouse does not respond. It then crashes. The trace is below. I also attached the .xsession-errors file. I don't know how to set up the the debug flag, which I presume is an option at compilation. Recompiling is not something I am comfortable to do with this system.

I can confirm this. A fresh install of kubuntu 6.06.1 (kde 3.5.2), and a tightvnc "vncviewer" app running on windows xp. When approximately 1/2 the screen is received, the connection drops and on the host the KDE Crash Handler appears.
