This is probably a KDEPrint bug. We use kghostview as previewer of PostScript files (though users are able to set up another application for that). Probably we do just use it "as is". Ghostview does get the file for previewing, but we don't care (yet?) for what the user marked in the preview. (We assume the user does select the pages to be printed in the dialog). I don't know if it is possible to use kghostscript in a way that hides the marking of pages. But you are right: once users did change their mind and select different pages in the kghostscript preview for printing, we should try to respect that. Sigh... printing is *soo* complicated. We need to look into this... Duplicate of bug 59718. Please transfer your votes there, if you care. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 59718 *** This is a problem with the kghostview component, which do not expose the required API to configure it properly and interact with it. I tried to collaborate with kghostview developers years ago on that problem, but it didn't go far. AFAIK, kghostview is meant to be deprecated, maybe it would be a good thing to use another (well-supported) viewer component and increase its usability from the kdeprint size (like selecting the pages to be printed and so on). Closing old Resolved status bug. |
