It would be very comfortable to develop a slideshow, if I could set to each picture a different changeover. The effects schould not be the issue by change, i want to set them. 
Then I want to use pictures from different albums for the slideshow and I want to set a Text or sound to the pictures.
By this way I am able to creat creativ slideshows. Because I want to use them again it would be great if it is possible to save the slideshow.
At last I want to burn the slideshow as a video to a cd. (Maybe the mpegplugin could work together with the slideshow.

This program could serve as example http://imagination.sourceforge.net/ it has the features the OP asks for.  Would be nice to see the program (imagination) in an KDE outfit or as a KIPI plugin if that is possible.
