Description Maciej Pilichowski 2006-07-07 12:38:14 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.3)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Currently kate selects the found string. However very often it is more useful if kate could just set the cursor at the end of phrase without selecting anything.

One more option in find dialog would support both behaviours.

I think if we really want that option it should go into config pages, not in the search bars itself. Anybody with strong opinions on this?

Since current Kate (3.1.2) has the option dropdown on the search bar, why not just add the option there? Users might find the ability to toggle the feature handy.

Only 1 vote for this after 6 years, we really don't need to clutter the searchbar even more.
