These are out of order, there are two Blues, and the green long string is missing. Have they been chosen correctly?

Original:	⌘0
Sharpness: This value improves the frequency response for the
filter. When it is too strong then not all noise can be removed, or spike
noise may appear. Set it near to maximum, if you want to remove very weak
noise or JPEG-artifacts, without loosing detail.

- loosing

Original:	⌘0
Edge: This value defines the pixel distance in which the filter
looks ahead for Edges. When this value is increased, then spikenoise is
erased. You can eventually readjust filter Edge, when you changed
this setting. When this value is to high, then the adaptive filter cannot
longer accurately track image details, and noise can reappear or blur can
occur.

recommended to use only Color or Luminance tolerance settings
to make an image correction, not the both at the same time. This settings
don't influence the main smoothing process controled by Details
settings.

Original:	⌘0
Damping: this control set the phase jitter damping adjustement.
This value defines how fast the adaptive filter-radius reacts to luminance
variations. If increased, then edges appear smoother, if too high, then blur
may occur. If at minimum then noise and phase jitter at edges can occur. It
can supress spike noise when increased and this is the preferred method to
remove it.

Original:	⌘0
This is the Radius of the Circular convolution. It is the most important
parameter for using the plugin. For most images the default value of 1.0
should give good results. Select a higher value when your image is very
blurred.

Ordinary nouns are not capitalized in English, only proper nouns: names of people, places, ideas, names rather than general nouns. For example:

plugin
the Deconvolution Plugin
deconvolution
this plugin applies deconvolution to the image
Stefan
man
Geneva
image
Christianity
belief

This applies to other strings in this file.

digikamimageplugin_restoration.po

1.
po:25
Original:	⌘0
This value controls the smoothing regularity of the target image. Do not
use an high value here, or the target image will be completely blurred.

- an high value
+ a high value

"an" is only used before words starting with "h" if the "h" is not spoken, due to the word being of foreign origin, usually French. For example:

an hotel
an heir

However, some of these words become Anglicized, and the "h" then _is_ spoken, e.g. "hotel", so:

a hotel

is more common nowadays, especially from people who do not speak French or understand the origin of the word.

RULE: use "a" before all nouns except those starting with a sound like a vowel:
all words starting with a, e, i, o

and

words starting with u which don't sound like "you", e.g.
umbrella
underwear
NOT:
university
use

and

words starting with 'h" where the "h" is not pronounced (as above).

Comment 1 Marek Laane 2006-11-17 00:20:46 UTC
Maybe you should to re-assign it directly to digiKam developers?
Comment 2 caulier.gilles 2006-11-20 08:29:45 UTC
Strings i18n need to be fixed for translators for 0.9.0 release. This is a priority.

There is a volunteer in this room ? (patch or direct fix in svn...)

Patch for mentioned typos

This is a patch against trunk r625297. I fixed all mentioned typos, which I
found still valid.
Comment 4 Frank Siegert 2007-01-21 00:52:48 UTC
Strange enough, that last comment including the patch didn't generate a mail to the developer list. Retrying with this comment, so that a developer sees the patch and can apply it, before it doesn't apply cleanly anymore.
Comment 5 Frank Siegert 2007-01-22 15:45:51 UTC
Committed to trunk by cgilles in r625800.
