Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.5.3)
Installed from:    Compiled From Sources
Compiler:          gcc (GCC) 3.4.4

Since upgrading from kde 3.5.0 to 3.5.3 konqueror, kopete and all other programs that traverse the squid proxy no longer connect.

The user/password form pops up and then authorization fails.

I put the kioslave/http/http.cc file from 3.5.0 in instead and the problem disappeared.

I have been unable to discover exactly which change caused the problem. - I think that it is a combination of changes.

Also when I disabled the proxy the socks lib failed to pick it up.

http.cc from 3.5.2 will not even pop up the auth dialog - just produces an error page.

cant find a http.cc from 3.5.1 to test

kde 3.5.4 will not work either.

The bug is not present in that form in trunk. In trunk there is currently a problem with HTTPS and proxies, but there is already a new bug open for that.
