The open document published recently on the web from KDE's own open usability move for KDE 4 does not open very well in KWord, however it opens fine in OpenOffice. See link to document. http://amen-online.de/~olafschmidt/colors/

Validated the attached odt-document on http://opendocumentfellowship.com/validator and turns out to be a valid Open Document. 
Kword RC1 (Arch Linux / KDEmod 4.2.2 / gcc / Linux 2.6.29 x86_64) still has issues with the document: it doesn't show the text in the columns in the middle of the page -- the text doesn't seem to be there (selecting the 'invisible text is impossible'). Kword even crashed a couple of times.
