Description Maciej Pilichowski 2006-06-29 19:14:06 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.3)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I am not talking about magic, but very often cases, when somebody put almost proper link to the file BUT there is no file, only further redirection. The nearest example is ... KDE. There are several links with .tar.bz2 files but those links are not to files, only for mirror list.

If the user chooses to download a file, KGet should start fetching and saving data, but as soon it appears the downloaded file is not what is supposed to be downloading should be paused (if configured so) and ask the user (or warn -- as configured) about the potential problems.

* I posted similar wish concerning Konqueror already, since once you can do it with Konqueror alone, and sometimes with KGet, so don't close it as a duplicate *
