Description Maciej Pilichowski 2006-06-26 20:17:57 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Currently I can only do this by copying addres and pasting it again. But such feature would be a great help -- an I am not talking about corrupted data, disconnecting, etc.

For example -- I downloaded some files, deleted them, and I want to download them again. It would be much simpler if I could just (multi)select some files from the KGet list and click on "start".

I have never had such a case...
Such a future is only bad for usability, IMHO.
Comment 2 Maciej Pilichowski 2007-01-16 22:08:26 UTC
What is bad here? Konqueror has "refresh" which means "download this page AGAIN" -- what is wrong with that idea?

KGet should also have such function "download it _again_".

Just of curiosity -- please explain this bad usability... Because I don't believe that it is better to manual copy address, deleting entry and pasting address again.

Would you like a new button "Download again" or just do it after a click on the start button?
I'm not sure if I have understood you right.

Hmm, this is secondary problem I think.

However, if you ask -- hmm start/start again is ok. I think it would be the best to mimic existing solution (Konqueror).

However, my primary concern is existence of such feature -- downloading file again.

Okay. I thought you would only like a new button / action for restarting a download. Now I understand you problem. Sorry.

We have a "Redownload Transfer"-feature now in KGet 2.1 for KDE 4.1..
