Description Chris Wales 2006-06-20 14:40:02 UTC
Version: 0.11.3 (using KDE 3.5.3 Level "a" , unofficial build of SUSE )
Compiler: Target: i586-suse-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.16.13-4-default

Whilst using the AOL plugin and with the text-effect plugin set to change colour every letter, a friend using Kopete (same version, same kernel) saw my original message was cut up into three messages, with HTML colour codes and
unclosed tags being displayed in the text. I've attached a screenshot to show
the problem :)

it seems you forgot the screenshot :-)

(seems to be a problem in aim parsing richtext)

Can you please attach the HTML of the output?
(chat menu, save as.. html)

I think i know what the problem is, but i want to be sure.
If it's what i think, the problem has been fixed already in svn.
Comment 4 Chris Wales 2006-06-22 17:24:55 UTC
I didn't have the history plugin activated and I've long since closed the window - is there a way to retrieve it?
Comment 5 Roman Jarosz 2006-07-30 23:45:46 UTC
I can reproduce it. It's fixed in Kopete 0.12 bug 127780. Olivier was right.
It will be backported to 0.11 when we merge 0.12 to KDE 3.5.5
