See also bug #123225 Than Ngo found that this is caused by all the resetInputContext()'s in src/widgets/qtextedit.cpp. This problem can be reproduced on openSUSE 10.2 with qt3-3.3.7 as well. Created attachment 19096 [details]

@Jens: Fedora Core 6 has fixed this bug. You may want to try that. KBabel is no longer maintained, please use the KDE 4 translator's tool called "Lokalize" instead.
