Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.4.3)
Installed from:    Gentoo Packages

When I open the attach file dialog in Kmail 1.8.3 it takes a very long time to display all the files in my home directory, there are about 2000 files and directories. This is very annoying, please make it faster. Kdeapps is the only apps that are this slow.

What do you mean with "kdeapps"?
Are you still seeing this problem with the newest KDE?

Closing, no response and it is likely a kdelibs problem anyway.
