Version: 0.12.0 (using KDE 3.5.3-1.0.fc5.kde, Fedora Core release 5 (Bordeaux))
Compiler: Target: i386-redhat-linux
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.16-1.2133_FC5

When contacts are offline and the protocol does not support the sending of offline messages (e.g. MSN), kopete returns an error message when the user tries to send a message. Instead, kopete should check whether the contact has an addressbook link and send an e-mail if the contact has got the link. When the contact has no addressbook link, kopete should open the protocol's e-mailwebsite (e.g. www.hotmail.com when using MSN), log in and fill in the contact's e-mailaddress in the "To:"-field (if the protocol supports all this).

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
