This would be very expensive in terms of the required redraws and (I suspect) potentially confusing when dragging the mouse to have a large number of rectangles all reflecting the motion simultaneously. I don't think it will be expensive actually. The zoom rect drawing isn't too bad, and it's a "user doing something, pause updates" action anyway. So you think we should implement this? Only after Kst2DPlot is fixed. Hum... I wonder whether that won't be too much distraction to the user's eye. If it's easy to implement, we may give it a try and wait for user feedback (and possibly make it optional ?). This feature doesn't seem to offer much benefit but could well be overwhelming to the user. |
