Description Andrei Kolu 2006-06-14 19:55:20 UTC
Version: 1.9.3 (using KDE 3.5.3, compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.4 [FreeBSD] 20050518
OS: FreeBSD (i386) release 6.1-RELEASE-p1

Can't read messages sent by ZDNet Tech Update Today <CNET_Networks_Member_Services@newsletter.online.com>

all message body text is white except headings and I have to select all text to read it somehow. With other mail clients(Mozilla) I see no such problem.

I can confirm this. And saving the HTML part and viewing it in Konqueror displays just fine.

It must be some HTML restriction that KMail places on HTML email that is causing the text to be rendered in white.
Comment 4 Ingo Klöcker 2006-06-25 19:47:47 UTC
It seems that KMail's CSS definitions overrule some of the CSS definitions of the HTML message. For example is the color of the headings also different between KMail and Konqueror. There's not much we can do about this until we are able to display the HTML message in an embedded frame of it's own (which currently isn't possible to do without ugly scrollbars showing up for the embedded frame). Therefore I'll grade the report as "wishlist".

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.
Comment 7 Luigi Toscano 2012-08-19 00:33:41 UTC
Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
