Version:           0.12.0 (using KDE 3.5.3, Gentoo)
Compiler:          Target: i686-pc-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.16-gentoo-r9

When I or a contact change his display picture, it doesn't update, whatever client he's using. Also, I use a theme which display the one's picture, which also appears in the toolbar, and most of the time the two aren't the same (the one in the toolbar seems to be the good one). I never know when the picture is updated or not. I only tried with MSN protocol.

Well, a few update.

After having cleaned my ~/.kde/share/apps/kopete/msnpictures/, my pic seems to change with my friend using kopete 0.11.x, but his don't change for me. I also realize that the pics I had of my contacts before I cleaned the directory weren't all good.

Confirmed in trunk r828808.

This seems to be a protocol-specific issue -- AIM updates correctly, but Jabber doesn't.  I haven't been able to test on other protocols.

It should be fixed in recent Kopete versions, if you still see this bug in KDE SC 4.3 or later please create new bug report for specific protocol.
