Right click on a name in the contact list and open the history window.
Very few emoticons "escape sequences" are replaced with images. 
This happens also in chat window when using history arrows, even if emoticons worked perfectly in "realtime" usage.

What do you mean by "very few emoticons"? For me, most "escape sequences" are replaced. The missing ones are not replaces in "realtime" usage, too.

Not only, incoming messages with custom emoticons are not shown at all! I have to open the history in a text editor in order to read it!
